Squantz Pond immerses the visitor in a "mountain like" setting. Usually an out of town fee $15 weekday and $22 weekends but not now because of covid and supposably no swimming, signs clearly stating such all over but everyone was in swimming, parents with both older &younger kids. Wear hiking boots and bring hiking poles and bring your hiking rucksack with bandaids and disinfectant for fear of a slip and you fall and get scrapes.

Difficult enough hike with scrambles so if you’ve any kind of knee back or feet ailments be aware.

This 172-acre area is one of the most gorgeous places in New Fairfield. Last section is a little boring just walking along a road.
